Thymalin

Thymalin is a synthetic peptide complex mirroring the endogenous thymic hormone Thymulin, with the sequence Pyr-Ala-Lys-Ser-Gln-Gly-Gly-Ser-Asn and a molecular weight of 858.86 g/mol. It regulates T-lymphocyte and natural killer cell differentiation and function by restoring thymus gland activity, and influences the neuroendocrine system to maintain homeostatic balance.

In aging research, long-term administration was associated with reduced age-related diseases and two-fold decreased mortality, and it has shown promise in improving immune parameters in chronic conditions like diabetes and tuberculosis, exhibiting anti-cancer potential in sarcoma models and lipid-lowering actions in atherosclerosis research.
